Anna, en route

Honfleur, France

While in Le Havre visiting Hetty, there was one thing I really wanted to do: Cross the Seine and walk through the picturesque little town of Honfleur. I was in Honfleur once before in late August 2007. And it was still as stunning as I remembered. Little sail boats all over the pretty harbor, beautiful old buildings with great looking restaurants and cute shops and that magnificent wooden church. We were lucky enough to be “stuck” in Honfleur three hours more than anticipated (we had not read the bus plan completely) which meant we got to listen to a superb horn concert in that church. For free. It was a beautiful day.

We ate at an absolutely delicious apple/berry crumble at “La petite chine”. It is a super cute and cosy (as well as tiny) salon de thé along the main shopping street. If you are visiting Honfleur it’s well worth to stop there for a little something. If you are lucky enough to get one of the five tables… ~Anna~
