Anna is making bread quite often. Kind of cool, isn’t it? Lately I tried out my first own bread. Instead of using different kinds of flours (difficult to get here and if available, expensive as jewelry) I tried out adding veggies to my bread.
Here’s what you need for my zucchini bread
500 g flour
1 large or 2 small zucchinis
1 sachet dry yeast
175 ml soy milk
½ tablespoon Ras el Hanout (spice mix)
1 tablespoon salt
Cut the zucchini into small pieces. I mean really small pieces. Otherwise you’ll have zucchini sticking everywhere between your teeth. Mix all the ingredients and form a smooth batter.
If you have, put the batter into a rectangle loaf pan. Do not forget to grease it with butter or margarine at first. In case you don’t have such a cake tin, just like me, just form a nice loaf with your hands and place it onto a baking tray.
Bake the bread at 190°C for about 30 minutes. Take the bread out of the oven and let cool down.
Serve with some butter, salt and pepper and enjoy! ~Hetty~
