This week’s pizza is one my favourites I like to order at a restaurant and will be my all time-classic. It’s pizza funghi, which is just simply the Italian version for saying: pizza with mushrooms.
I chose to top mine off with some extra tomatoes to make it more luscious. Very yummy!
Start off with the usual pizza base: Prepare the dough and spread it out on a baking tray.
For the funghi topping you’ll need
150g fresh mushrooms, I used champignons (de Paris)
one big tomato
some tomato sauce
Spread the tomato sauce on the dough. Cut the tomatoes in slices and put the on the pizza.
Clean the mushrooms, cut them into slices as well and put them on the pizza. If you want, you can add some cheese too.
Bake the pizza in the oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes. Take it out of the oven, let cool down a little bit and enjoy!
